With Retailers managing discount schedules and item settings, there is a need for the capability to schedule out when the system updates those items from the Update Products page within the Retail product hierarchies form. The current way to do this is to Update Products from the Retail Product Hierarchies page manually or immediate batch job. Unfortunately, Schedule Batch Job option does not allow for a later date to be scheduled, but rather batches out the update item parameters job immediately. There is no capability to set this date in the future so that, on a specific day (New Goods Sale Day for example) a set of items' parameters will be updated via batch (Prevent All Discount setting) and allow the set of items to be discounted at a future date.

Thank you for your feedback.

We need some more details to understand your suggestion better. Can you please help us by answering the following questions?

Each discount allows you to set the Validity dates, so you could put the start date as a future date. But you can test the discount set up using the Price simulator by choosing a future date. If your concern is primarily related to the new products which are being added to the retail product hierarchy. Then, you add these new products to the release product hierarchy anytime, but add them to a new assortment that becomes active on a future date. This way the cashiers will not be able to search for these products, but you can still create a promotion for these products since they are released to the legal entity. If you don't want to create a new assortment, then you can wait till the actual day to add these to the existing assortment, but still the discount set up completed in advance would kick in on the specified day.
