As the name suggests, it would be great if there was an action to update a contact or lead field within a journey. Currently the only option I'm aware of is to create a workflow/flow.
The addition of this feature would significantly speed up delivery of marketing campaigns.
An example of how we would use this functionality...
- Contact enters journey from segment based on LinkedIn Lead Gen Form
- Update Source Campaign Field
- Determine region (if/then)
- Update Owner field
- assign sales activities such as phone calls
