When you dive into the different environments there should be possibility to more powerful and visually stronger way to communicate users that you are now in Sandbox. My first idea is that the background of the screen is slightly .. yellow.

Totally agree. The only way at the moment is to change the company badge. The system should know that it's a sandbox enviro and change theme accordingly. How about a choice of Sandbox themes? Can't be that hard to have some default settings in Production. Sandbox1 = "green", Sandbox2 = "red" etc etc.
