General Journal should have a check box indicating it should be reversed at the beginning of the next period. Currently, BC requires users to go to the Posted General Journal to find and reverse journal entries, but this is NOT an efficient process as not all entries on the posted general journal are candidates for reversal.
Reversal entries based on accruals is a fundamental required process for the finance team on a monthly basis. It makes more sense to allow for a reversal checkbox during the journal entry process, instead of adding an extra laborious step after posting.
