When you try to preview an attached doc. it will be downloaded and this makes the PC crowded, why not only preview in the browser or add an embedded browser pop up page to preview only without downloading

I have an OnPrem customer with this issue. Is there a plan to put this feature in place for OnPrem?

Ever update OneDrive function in Business Central 2021 release wave 2. This seems if the Microsoft365 account without a OneDrive license cannot open in OneDrive. What end-user need is preview an attachment without download.

Any update on this idea? It is definitely a step backwards for us as we move from NAV to BC for our users if they have to download an attachment every time they just want to view it.

A significant number of customers are facing the same issue.
Hence it would be greatly appreciated to add this feature to open PDF in browsers.
It would also increase the customer's productivity.

The lost functionality that our previous ERP had was viewing and working with the files from where they were. In Dynamics if I want to make a quick edit to an attached spreadsheet, I have to download the file to my local PC, save it, delete the file from Dynamics, upload the edited file to Dynamics, delete the copy of the edited file from my local PC.
I also have 5 field supers with Chromebooks that look at job plans and download every time they look. I was glad to see Dynamics add attachments but I miss the previous way of working with attachments.
Oh, and drag and drop was lost but I've seen others request that.
