Description
Currently, end users cannot view the list of apps shared with them per environment. While users can access an app via its direct URL, the “Shared With Me” section under the Apps tab shows apps only when the user can see that environment in the Power Apps maker portal environment list.
The inclusion rules for an environment to appear in the maker portal are:
- The user is assigned the Environment Maker role, or
- At least one app in that environment has been shared with them as a co‑owner
This design causes confusion and discoverability issues—especially for organizations with multiple environments (DEV/TEST/PROD, regional environments, business-unit–specific environments). End users often cannot find the apps intended for them unless they receive a direct URL, leading to poor discoverability and increased support burden.
Requested Feature:
Please add a user‑friendly interface (web + mobile) that allows end users to:
- Select an environment
- View only the apps shared with them in that specific environment
- Easily search, filter, and favorite apps by environment
- Avoid relying solely on direct URLs to access apps
Business Impact:
Enterprises with strong ALM practices and multiple environments face major usability challenges because end users lack a centralized, environment‑specific view of available apps.
Introducing an environment‑scoped app catalog would:
- Improve app discoverability
- Increase user adoption
- Reduce confusion caused by inconsistent visibility rules
- Minimize support tickets asking “Where is my app?”
- Provide a more intuitive end‑user experience aligned with enterprise governance
