The current ATP calculation provides options for consideration for backward supply and backward demand. However, it doesn't allow the option for future demand consideration. We operate in a FIFO manner, if I were to perform an ATP calculation on a past due sales order, I would like to be able to provide an updated date without consideration for any future demand. This is related to the idea reference link below, where we would also want the ability to update dates on future orders in unison, when a previous order is past due (for a given product/warehouse). Another improvement would be the ability to have consideration for reserved inventory and order lines. The on-hand column in ATP form would change to "Available" and the issues column would exclude order lines that are already reserved. The way it stands "Available to Promise" should really be called "On-hand to Promise".
