I would like License plate receiving to be extended to support Goods in Transit orders. My client currently uses LP Receiving extensively for purchase order receiving on AX. They are migrating to D365 and are very keen to implement the Landed Cost module and use the goods in transit functionality. However being unable to use license plate receiving for GIT orders would both massively increase staffing costs for and create significant operational difficulties (time and space) for goods in. There needs to be a mechanism to associate a packing structure with a voyage or container and then receive against that.

Thank you for your feedback. Currently this is not in our roadmap; however, we are tracking it and if we get more feedback and votes, we may consider it in the future.

This stopping the up take of the Landed Cost module as it's such a pain to receipt in container loads of items without being able to receipt in an ASN with GIT orders.

Hi,

is there an update regarding the roadmap or is a workaround recommended so that the Landed Cost module can be used?

Thanks Christian

Just an additional thought. A colleague of mine tells me that there are some issues with marking Purchase Orders when using Goods in Transit. On that basis it would sound sensible to focus on creating planned cross-docking off marked GIT orders. Given that the orders that use the goods in transit functionality are often in transit for several weeks, that seems a practical approach anyway.
