In the currently implemented supplier consignment inventory functionality, MRP does not raise the consignment inventory, instead it raises a record based on the default order settings (E.g. A planned PO). The default order settings do not have the option for the default order type of "Consignment inventory". The only current workaround is not specifying a default supplier, allowing the system to raise a planned PO and deleting / manually recreating it as a consignment replenishment order. This does not represent a streamlined process. If a consignment replenishment order already exists, MRP considers this as inbound supply, but automatic raising of a consignment replenishment order is not possible in the current functionality.

Currently this is not in our roadmap; however, we are tracking it and if we get more feedback and votes, we may consider it in the future.

Definitely a requirement for all my customers who have used Consignment. It is a very manual process. Even if we cannot "firm" a custom planned replenishment order, there needs to be some sort of alert other than a planned PO. Maybe to start by having some flag on the warehouse to classify it as consigned, then if an item has a minimum inventory level or demand on that warehouse and insufficient inventory it could show in report as Consignment replenishment required, similar to how the Critical on hand report works. Of course, integrating a Consignment replenishment planned order that could be firmed and work with the current design of MRP and consignment would be ideal but could be longer term in the roadmap
