The scenario is like this: We use the Business Events feature of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations sending the event to an Azure Event Grid. The endpoint url of the Azure Event Grid is in the QA Stage is different then in UAT or Production Stage. What is here best practice to configure this endpoint url on different stages. Our goal would be to configure this endpoint url during an Azure Release Pipeline.

The other scenario is that our business consultants are also editing (business) configurations in D365 Finance and Operations for example in the QA Stage. What is here best practice to deploy this kind of configurations from stage to stage e.g. copy configurations from QA Stage to UAT Stage. Also here, the end goal would be to deploy this (business) configuration during an Azure Release Pipeline.

For the second scenarion there is a solution for Dynamics 365 CRM: Configuration Migration tool - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/manage-configuration-data.

According to my support request (#120022021000524) to microsoft, there is no solution like the one for CRM in D365 Finance and Operations. This was the exact Feedback:

"Hello Ucar,

I have reached different authorities on this case. They told that CRM is a different product. It doesn’t contain things like general ledger and other features like D365.
Therefore configuration tool is unavailable. However, they encourage customers to post their ideas to ideas portal below. Whichever gets lot of upvotes. Microsoft product will consider them for new feature release in upcoming version. "

So here is my suggestion, to create a tool which helps in the application lifecycle to move business/technical configurations from one stage to the other with support for automation.
