Currently, it's not possible to make changes to sales orders (address, shipping dates, etc.) that contains items that already reached the sell end date. Currently is only possible to reserve inventory or release to warehouse.
The sell end date should only disallow the creation of new sales order for that specific item but allow modification of sales order previously created

Thank you very much for your input. We do not have any plans to extend this capability, we will however continue to monitor how much in demand such a capability is.
