Currently, for Dynamics 365 / Dataverse instances hosted in the Japan region, the Japanese Supplemental Font pack (which includes standard fonts like Meiryo) frequently goes missing from the backend SSRS Report Servers immediately following automated weekend platform updates.
When this happens, any PDF export of SSRS reports (such as Invoices, Quotations, and Customer Reports) falls back to default fonts, resulting in severe garbled text, mixed font sizes, and broken layouts for Japanese characters. This disrupts critical billing and reporting operations for Japanese customers, especially during busy financial periods like March. Customers have to wait for a silent hotfix to restore the fonts.
It's necessary that the Product Group implements a permanent fix to ensure that the "Japanese Supplemental Fonts" pack is permanently baked into the standard server image or automatically retained/re-applied during any node rotation or system update for Japan-region environments. Customers should not have to experience recurring font drops and business disruptions due to routine backend maintenance.
