I think the Edit in Excel functionality is pretty useful for users because they like working in Excel.
Of course for some screens this makes no sense (ie master data with transactions), but considering the feature applies the BC business logic (ie validation), I would like to see all CRUD operations supported including rename and delete.
Another nice to have would be:
- extending support for the Excel Addin to work also on MacOS
- it is already working in Excel Online, I think this should be continued and improved (currently you have to upload the downloaded file to OneDrive for Business, however this could potentially be automated when you Edit in Excel to give you the option: Excel Online or Excel client? if you choose Excel online, save a temp copy in One Drive, but remove it when closed, unless the user saves that file with a different name somewhere!
