Current D365 SCM functionality enables labels to be printed when a quantity of finished goods are reported as finished on a Work/Production Order.

For some manufacturing processes where multiple boxes of finished goods will be made this restricts the ability to label the boxes before (or during) the manufacturing process. The workaround is for a manufacturing operator to report as finished each box of finished goods as it is made. This is an inefficient process as a box of goods could be manufactured every few minutes.

Once the boxes have been manufactured they are loaded onto a pallet therefore it is not possible to report as finished a large quantity at the end of the Work Order as it will be physically impossible to add a label to a box that is packed in the middle of a pallet of boxes without increasing manual handling.

The requirement therefore is to be able to specify (for each Production Pool?) if labels should be printed at Work Order Start, Report as Finished or End.
