Inventory movement scenarios not supporting using GS1 single scan feature. Microsoft says this is a "forward filling" issue and they can't predict what fields will popup in every scenario. It seems that if the data is captured in the first scan, it would be possible to make best effort to fill in known data. The out come can be influenced by including both Target License Plate and License Plate Application identifier 00 (duplicating it in the GS1 Policy). For the failed scenarios below, all were tested with GS1 policy with a) LP only; b) Target LP only; and c) both LP and Target LP fields. All fail when performing inventory movement from non-LP controlled to non-LP controlled locations using all combinations of GS1 policy with the exception of scenario

Inventory Movement Scenarios (bin to bin) using GS1 Policy to obtain true single scan:

  1. License Plate controlled location to License Plate controlled locations -- GS1 policy with LP field only works OK.
  2. License Plate controlled location to Non-License Plate controlled location -- GS1 policy with LP field only works OK.
  3. Non-License Plate controlled location to Non-License Plate controlled location using all forms of the GS1 Policy -- Fails all scenarios of inventory movement (bin to bin).
  4. Non-License Plate controlled location to Non-License Plate controlled location using just GS1 Policy with TARGET LP field only -- works OK.
  5. Non-License Plate controlled location to License Plate controlled location -- using all forms of the GS1 Policy -- Fails all scenarios of inventory movement (bin to bin).
