It amazes me this isnt as standard. Looking at building a flow to add the holiday request to the requesters calendar as well as the manager. But the system should just do this for you.

We (Siemens) see it more in the other direction. A booking towards a FSE should appear in the mobile and seamlessly also on his Outlook if whished so (Configuration possible on what data can be viewed in Outlook)

When having an integration to Outlook it should be considered that Outlook calendars might be public. Therefore the possibility is needed to define certain absence types as "private" which creates private appointments in the calendar.
This is important due to legal restrictions. Not everybody is eligible to know why I am not at work (especially in case of illnesses).

It could be an idea to have also leave requests which are not approved yet in the calendar but shown as "tentative" and only once they are approved as "out of office" or "busy".
