Today one can add the legal entity code to precede the number sequence.
If a field was added across from each Segment Configuration > Area > Reference, say 4 alphanumeric characters, and the user could select to include when generating the number sequence wizard, the series could reference the legal entity, the use in D365 and the sequential number.
Example AC01-ARCL######### (ARCL = AR collection letter)
Some customers would not use and would refer to the posting type...where some customers would use the voucher for the posting type reference. Typically, when a specific journal name voucher series is created, it is created with an identifier in the series similar to the above example. This improvement would create some consistency in the approach, if the customer so desired.
