It would be helpful for customers that use BC with their own custom permissions sets to have a section of the release notes outlining any with permission changes. We have a few customers that have custom Permission sets and get permission errors after updates

A couple of releases back we have implemented a capability for composable permission sets. So instead of making a flat copy of the permissions and maintaining the list themselves, you can copy by reference and exclude any permissions you don't want in your custom permission set. That way, you'll get any updates that we do to the permission set automatically while still having the option to remove or add the permissions you want.
