In D365 CE, we have custom Sector and Segment tables which have a lookup for each on our Account and Opportunity forms. The Sector and Segment have a relationship between them where you have many Segments linked to a Sector. The Segment field is locked via a business rule until the Sector is populated.
I've included the Sector and Segment fields on the Account and Opportunity forms in Copilot for Sales. The relationship between the Sector and Segment isn't honoured in Outlook as well as the business rule. A user can select a Sector and then select a Segment that isn't linked to the Sector. Likewise the user can select a Segment first and then select any Sector regardless of whether they are linked. This will cause data issues when the record is created in D365 CE and synced to other systems (e.g. D365 FSCM).
Is there a plan for Copilot for Sales in Outlook to have parity with the relationship and business rule functionality of D365 CE?
