Financial tags cannot be used in reports in BPA. It is really missing when a company uses it for financial reporting.
Financial dimensions are not enough for some analytics reporting.

Financial Tags will be available as a dedicated table in the BPA data model starting with the 2.8 release. This will allow customers to incorporate Financial Tags directly into their reporting and analysis scenarios in Power BI or Excel without requiring custom extensions.
