Firming planned transfer orders: need insight in total volume or weight

When firming planned transfer orders, it would be very useful to see the total weight or total volume of the multi-line transfer order that is about to be created. In distribution companies it is often attempted to make one transfer order fill a truck, weight or volume-wise. After the user has marked a bunch of planned transfer orders with the same FROM and TO warehouse the total weight and total volume would show up in a fact box, or somewhere on the side. This nicely supplements the load planning workbench functionality.

having weight and volume and dimensions by variant woudl solve shipping issues as well as we cannot calculate this at the variant or product master level but only at the product level which is really useless as different sizes of an item would have diffent characteristics, sizes of box and weights.

I totally agree that it would be very usefull to have this also for planned purchase orders

Would be good to have the same function on planned purchase orders as well. An importer is often trying to fill a shipping container. We did a customisation where we created a fact box which displayed the total weight and cube of the selected planned purchase orders which was well liked by the users.
