Setting to allow

Qty to Ship field to be auto populatd with the Outstanding Qty for assembly items once the registered pick of the assemby components has been posted. This would assume the all the assembly items will have been made, if all the assembly components have been picked on the pick list. If there are any partial picks of assembly components then the qty to ship for the Assembly item will remain at Zero. The benefit of this setting is for any assembly item that has a warehouse shipment qty requirement of 1 and where all the assembly items are picked this field would automatically be pospulated just like the non assembly items do after the registerd pick. This would also be true for assembly warehouse shipment lines that are greater than 1 where all the assembly componets are registerd as being picked. If all assembly components are picked this setting would basically say that by default all assemby items would have been made and therefore updated the qty to ship field automatically. The wareshouse employee could override if if he knew differently. The way the system works at the moment is the warehouse employee always has to manually enter a qtt even if all items have been picked and all items have been made. There should be the option of assuming that is how the customer works and this setting would allow the customer that choice.
