When a permission set is created from a copy of a standard MS permission set, the permissions should be "inherited", not copied. As an example, we copy the Business Premium permissions and restrict access to the vendor table. Each time MS adds a new table to BC, MS updates the standard permission set. We normally find out about this when our users start complaining. If the permissions were inherited instead of copied, we wouldn't have to manually update our permission sets each time MS adds a table to BC.
