Due to migration of email descriptions by Microsoft to emails older than one year, it is no longer possible to search for older customer related emails based on description field content. In case there are lot of emails in the timeline from several years (there can easily be even 100 emails), it is difficult to find all relevant customer interaction quickly, as an example during a phone conversation with the customer. In those situation it is important that customer service agent or salesperson can without delays find relevant information with a few key words. Now, user can only search based on the subject or browse all email messages which is time consuming. In the past, it was possible to trust that the timeline search included the entire customer interaction history.

 

My suggestion is to enable timeline search to use the full customer interaction history, including email descriptions from Blob Storage. The search should work at least in the level it used to. Dataverse search is not able to cover the gap that the timeline search currently has as it is missing the customer context.
