Currently, the email designer allows dynamic content referencing the event, but it does not allow selecting the specific session dynamically within a reusable marketing email.
This becomes problematic when events contain multiple sessions, for example:
• One event
• One registration form
• Multiple sessions (for example morning and afternoon sessions for different time zones)
The communication with attendees happens at the session registration level, because each session has its own Teams meeting link and check-in tracking.
However, in the current implementation the session must be explicitly selected in the email designer. This means that a reusable email cannot dynamically insert the Teams URL of the session that triggered the journey.
As a result, users must either:
• Create separate emails for every session OR
• Build complex conditional logic in content blocks
• Duplicate journeys
This significantly reduces the benefits of Real-time Journeys orchestration, where the goal is to create reusable and scalable customer journeys.
Proposed Solution
Allow dynamic session context within the email designer when an email is triggered by a session-related event trigger (for example Session Registration Created).
Benefits
1. Scalable Event Communication
Users could create one reusable email template for session confirmations instead of one per session or event if conditional content is used.
2. Better Real-time Journeys Design
Journeys triggered by session registrations could dynamically use the correct meeting link without additional logic.
3. Reduced Maintenance
Event managers would not need to maintain multiple emails or conditional content blocks for the same event structure.
