Microsoft Dynamics 365
I do agree the form can be more user friendly. To make it more manageable today: I have been involved in an implementation with over 2500 legal entities. To be able to do a more easy search within the legal entities to be assigned, we created organization hierarchies. Eg. start with enterprise > continent > country > operational type > legal entities.
In addition, we did setup automatic role assignments, so the organization assignment should be done only once per rule.
FYI. There is a workaround today: https://dynamicspedia.com/2020/05/change-the-name-of-new-configured-security-objects/
I do agree, it should be easier to rename it.
There is already an option to use Azure AD Security Groups for assigning security roles. You can read e.g. my blog to learn more: https://dynamicspedia.com/2019/09/how-to-use-azure-active-directory-for-managing-users-and-security-in-dynamics-365-for-finance-and-operations/
Can this please get pushed up. Dimensional reporting is one of the biggest benefits of BC and having dimensional data in PowerBI is critical. Having to work out how DimensionSetID's and DimensionSet work is way too complex. Having a simple webquery would save everyone a ton of effort.
Any updates on this request?
I agree, for an ERP there is too much white-space. "Well-designed data density can present massive amounts of information on every screen, while still maintaining a clear and scannable content hierarchy." https://uxdesign.cc/how-white-space-killed-an-enterprise-app-and-why-data-density-matters-b3afad6a5f2a
A good portion of the feedback we get from our users at my organization is around the relatively low resolution and white-space. I hope team(s) at microsoft is addressing this.
Please add this feature it’s crazy we cannot do this automatically
I like this idea. We loved it when the item description was increased to 100 characters but find that many of our items require a longer description than this. In response to the extended text comment above, these are awkward to do the initial setup, are not visible on the item card without dipping into the menu and don't provide the same continuous text that a longer description would. Honestly, we would be happy with a 500 characters total for this field.
ideally this would be programmable - only notify on updates to Status field (for example).
Families don't quite do this. I want to consume 1 raw material (or several raw materials) to make a dozen finished goods. The cost (and lot/serial number) of the consumption needs to be allocated to the dozen finished goods.
