This feature is available in AX2012: product name field is shown according to the setup of company language.



I don't understand why it's changed in D365 without any parameter provided to give client more options.

It's painful to convince users to accept workaround solution like "search name" ...


This is a basic requirement for international client.


All the "product name" shown in forms should be shown in company or user language accordingly, included but not limited in

  • Purchase order lines
  • Sales order lines
  • Planned orders
  • On-hand inventory
  • ...

The issue is that it creates a Work Item for users who don’t have access to the Company in question. It’s therefore creating Work Items for people who can’t actually approve the item which makes no sense and is confusing for anyone wishing to view the work item list to see who can approve their invoice at that point in time.

We should be able to define it at entity level so it does not apply only to Emails but also pages & forms.

I agree - we are having a hard time to distinguish between different fields with monetary values. It would be great if there would be a possibility to have more personalisation options - e.g. add labels or change icons.
