Under Review
Hi,
As a medical device manufacturer we have a need for using Guides in many areas, where I would like to animate my imported digital objects, as might be shown in various steps of various Guides. For example, when the operator is using a vacuum pen to pick up a PCB component, the specific motion of the operator’s hand is critical as they place and release the component. That said, I have already incorporated a video that shows the correct procedure, but now I would like to be able to have my digital twins (the imported digital PCB component and the vacuum pen) to rotate 15 degrees and then up, away from the released component. So, with that desire in mind, how can I create objects or modify them in the Guides authoring tool, such that I might create slight animations?
As a side note, the vacuum pen scenario is only 1 of over 100 scenarios where some degree of digital object animation would be desired. For example, imagine the operator now looking (with a HL2 on their head) at the component to be assembled and then while maintaining a POV, they are able to see the digital twins and then mirror that digital action/animation while maintaining focus on the targeted assembly. In other words, to have the operator’s gaze moved away from the target assembly (i.e., to review a video) would disrupt the flow and could result in damage of a very expensive and fragile assembly.
Let me know if those examples make sense and if there are any ideas that you can provide, related to my need for animating imported digital content.
Thanks in advance for your response.
