  • Power expense app cannot view all expense from F&O.

    After confirming with the product group to know that the power app expense app can only display the most recent year's expense data, is it possible for Microsoft to design a filter that allows the user to choose to look at the past few years of expense, which is a reasonable requirement.

  • The calculation logic of short-term liabilities from Lease Liability Amortization schedule

    In the D365 FO, the calculation of short-term liabilities in lease assets, as defined by the code, is calculated logically ShortTermLiability = scheduleLineLiabilityView.ShortTermLiabilityAmount + scheduleLine.AccruedInterest.


    However, we have customers who believe that short term liabilities should be excluded from the calculation of accrued interest according to IFRS 16. Please ask the product team to reconsider the calculation logic for calculating the value of short-term liabilities. thanks.

  • Financial reporting limitation with the Start/End Date feature.

    Issue:

    We have the customer got FR unable to generate issue as 404 not found error. but this error only exists in specific LE and reset data mart did not work.  The fiscal year from April to March.

    Based on investigation with cx, the system only allow generating data within the same fiscal year. If we try to generate for the period June 2025 (the third period) of this fiscal year and fetch data for the given period last year (Base -12), the system will throw warning Period -9 of year 2026 is not valid for the selected company. that this is just configuration (Start date and end date) causing the issue. If we remove it as below, no issue is thrown. 

    Based on official doc explained, this set up is used to restrict financial data for a specific period of time referencing.However, the article does not clearly mention it would restrict within a fiscal year. 

    Root cause:

    Through Support team to double confirm with FR product team, confirmed that this is a limitation/bug with the Start/End Date feature.

    Suggestions:

    After discussing with product team, we are considered enhancing the Start/End Date feature in the future. since this is low priority requirement, kindly follow this link, if there are new design developments, this site can see updates, thanks.
