Variable Allocation Dimensions
Right now, BC variable allocation dimensions must be the same for the breakdown and destination for each line in the allocation. I have a client that wants to break the link in order to keep the breakdown location as the physical location of where the FTE, beds, sq footage, hours worked etc are. However they have 500+ physical locations that they want to use a reporting (summarized) location dimension for the destination.
They are migrating from GP which allows variable allocations to be managed by a trigger account. They are migrating to BC which makes it impossible to have different destination locations than the originating breakdown destinations.
The client is too large to try to manage this process manually.

The Ability to create intercompany transactions using variable allocations
Update the variable allocation table to accommodate intercompany transactions.
Also along the same idea, the ability to use allocation accounts on the intercompany journal.

Depreciation Expense using Variable Allocations
Depreciation expense can currently be allocated using fixed percentages, however, depreciation expense needs to be able to leverage variable allocations in order to allocate depreciation by department. Think building depreciation expense that needs to be allocated by department for a large company As the company grows and space is re-split or added, using variable allocations would simplify the process instead of having to manually update the fixed percentages.
