  • Post to G/L in detail

Currently when you post a transaction from a sub-ledger (e.g. Sales Invoice or Purchase Invoice), this system summarizes all the line items that hit the same G/L account and post to the G/L as a single line per account. This makes it very difficult to reconcile as the amounts you see in the G/L would not match any individual line from the original transaction. Further, if you select the G/L entry and navigate to the posted transaction, it shows you all line items for that transaction rather than just the line items that make up the specific G/L entry that you're looking at. We would suggest that all line items get post to the G/L in detail to make it easy to reconcile between the G/L entry and sub-ledger transaction.
  • Set tax area by line in Sales and Purchase Invoices

Currently, the tax area is restricted to one for the whole document. This means that if there are multiple line items that require different tax area codes, then the only work around is to create multiple individual invoices. A tax area code column already exists but it's not editable (read-only). It would be really helpful to have this column be editable within the invoice lines to select a tax area code that should be applied to each specific line.
  • Allow for uploading G/L Budgets by dimension through the Export to Excel functionality.

When entering a budget in D365 BC directly, you can enter multiple amounts for a given GL Account / Period combination (i.e. breakdown by dimension). But when exporting to Excel, it only allows for entering 1 amount per GL/Period with no breakdown. Please provide a way to enter the dimensions that breakdown that 1 amount per GL/Period.
  • Create Purchase Credit Memo by selecting multiple lines via "Reverse Lines" button (available in NAV)

In NAV, we used to have a button called “Reverse Lines” when you create a Purchase Credit Memo. This allowed a user to select multiple lines on different Purchase Invoices and create the Purchase Credit Memo. But now in Dynamics 365 BC, that button is completely gone and you can’t create a Credit Memo for multiple invoices unless you manually type in the quantities you want to reverse. Please bring back the 'Reverse Lines' button.
