Today, if a user is interacting with an editable grid and one of the columns is a lookup, the list of records returned from that lookup is limited to the first 100 records in that view. This is confusing for users since even though they can use type ahead to search for a value, they cannot scroll to see if that value actually exists or not. It would be a much better user experience if the entire list of records from the lookup could be returned or better yet, have the limit of how many records can be returned be a configurable setting.

When using the addPreSearch JavaScript function to filter a lookup field on a form based on an option set value on that same form. However, when changing the option set more than once in a given user session, the search for that lookup field no longer returns any records. The product team has acknowledged that this is the behavior driven off of the current API implementation which feels like a bug. It would be nice if this function worked consistently regardless of which field type is used in the lookup filtering call.
