  • Exclude one specific Financial Dimension value from posting in Account structures

    Hi Microsoft,

in some cases, the business has many financial dimensions and their values. It is not unusual, that the accounting wants to exclude only one dimension value from posting on specific account. e.g. on Account Revenue EU, there should be no posting with dimension for Inland.

For now, you have to specify all allowed values for the accounts in the structure. If there is any new value created, you need to add this into the structure firstly.

With the possibility to exclude values, it will be easier to maintain Account structures, because all newly added values will be automatically allowed.

  • Sales Tax (VAT) postings for Expenses on POS

In standard funktionality, if using Income/Expenses on POS, there is no possibility to setup that this should be posted with sales tax.

In business, most of the companies don´t want to post this expenses on bridging accounts and then post finally with sales tax in Accounting and journals.

Most of the scenarios is, that as soon as the Expenses (e.g. Post) are posted via POS , it should already have sales tax on this entry. So it would need the setup for sales tax groups on the Expenses directly.

  • Customer hold from collection letters should be connected to the Customer Status

On Customer details page, there we can use a status field for different scenarios in the system. This status can be setup with specific type of customer hold (blocking e.g. Invoice).

In the process of collection letters we can setup, that after a collection letter the customer should be put on hold (Invoice and delivery).

What would be great, if i can connect it with a status, which will be shown on customer page and in the overview of Customers on hold.

With this information, it would be easier for the users to see at the first sight, why was the customer put on hold without any need of going through the whole system.

  • Different types of credit limit messages in different checkpoint stages

It would be really helpful to be able to setup Message type when exceeding credit limit not for the whole functionality the same, but for every checkpoints separately.

    My scenario is following:

    • if confirming sales order, i would want to check credit limit, but the outcome should only be a warning
    • if posting picking list or packing slip or invoice, i would want to check credit limit and this time with Error. In this stage, the sales order should go into hold.

or even, i would want to have only warning for confirmation, error for picking list but again warnings for packing slip and invoice.

  • Different accounts for returnes or credit note in Account receivable not only as Italian localisation

There is a localisation for italy, where we can specify different accounts for returned orders or credits. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/finance/localizations/italy/emea-ita-exil-separate-account-credit

This would actually be great for other countries as well. NOt only for Italy

  • VAT Nummbers check on Non-VAT Customers or Vendors

There are business cases, where we can sell to or buy from a customer/vendor, who has no VAT ID at all, but is in EU country. In this case, if the check on VAT IDs is set to validate EU countries, we won´t be able to post the invoice for such partners.

There should be a possibility to set a parameters, which put an additional criteria to this check.

I can imagine to have it on Cust/Vend groups or directly on customers/vendors.

For now, you would need to use Dummy IDs, what´s wrong.

  • Add the total credit limit and Insurance and guarantees into the workspace and reports

With Credit management, we have a possiblity to have total credit limit created by credit limit, temporary credit limits and Insurance and Guarantees. With this, if using mostly Insurance and guarantees, we do not see the right numbers in Reports as Customer balance with credit limit or when using Workspace Customer credit and collection.

Those parts of the system still uses the column credit limit and not the column total credit limit.

It would be great, if those overviews can actually show all the fields from customers.
