Synopsis: Include additional data attributes by extending the Sustainability data model. This gives you the flexibility to work with your company’s unique data, from import to analysis and reporting.

In essence, each activity and/or emission line item can have a different sets of additional attributes. Those can be used in calculations, and reporting.

For example -

• A purchased electricity activity may have additional information about assembly line, count and types of items associated with it (e.g. fiber, color, quality...).
• And another purchased electricity may have information about a different product line, and extended organization info (e.g. manager, floor...)

So... How would you use the feature?

What would you like to be able to do with such extension? What key problem will it solve for you?

We are currently exploring DAM and its functionality. For us to be able to us it we would like to see a aggregated sum or view. When we cross reference towards our source system we would spend to much time look at row level. We thought that PowerBI was a good choice to see since we didn't see any possibility to see pending totals before approving them.
 

Microsoft: With respect to being able to assess pending data prior to approving, we have some of this functionality on the emission side. Meaning, once activities are calculated the results can be staged as pending emissions in which case they can be viewed in our analysis page. I recognize this doesn't address your specific requirement of visualizing and assessing activities prior to approval and calculations. The feature was planned but had to push out due to resource attention to CSRD priorities.

Seeking opinions on this feature. Do you need it? How do you handle the need today (if so)?

• Customers need repeatable verifiable processes across deployments
• Different personas are responsible for different operational processes

• Transfer a connection to an upgraded environment
• Transfer a connection to another region (maybe with source modification)
• Replicate a connection for different sources of the same data shape
• Use a connection after GA deployment to troubleshoot issues on non-prod environment

Seeking opinions and need around this feature:

• Platform Capability Dependency: PQO natively supports the ability to create transformation templates --> Leverage for authoring and instantiating templates within MSM

• Key objectives:
• Advanced users create PQ transformation templates and make it available to standard users to instantiate into connection. --> Standard users do not require design/authoring expertise.

• Personas
• Templates authoring is only visible/available to advanced (Sustainability RW/admin*) users.
• Instantiating Templates by any Ingestion role users.
• Premium feature

Implementation details:

• Template CRUD ops for advanced users.
• Reorganize UI to support template CRUD area for advanced users.
• Reorganize UI to present templates within new Ingestion tile organization UI for standard users.
• Add a mapping step & embed mapping within PQ template authoring.
• Standard experience – use a template without any further modifications
• Advanced experience – use a template as a starting point.
