  • Share what happens when you change from Business Central Premium to Essentials and Changing User Experience

What happens when you switch between functions like going from premium to essentials. What happens if you want to re-enable this function in the future will the data stay as it was? Also what happens when you change user experience does any of the data get lost between swapping? Here is the response from From: Aananth Rajadevan Subject: RE: 119072424001491 EXO | APAC | NZ | Downgrade Business Central Premium to Essentials Dynamics 365 Business Central Hi Ben, Thanks for the response. The Data will stay as it is there but we will have changes in accessing few functionalities. When it comes to change from Premium to Basic we have two options that we see. One comes with licensing change another comes with the changing the User experience through company information where you will have only changes in accessing few modules. Premium licensed user has an option to change the User experiences from Premium to Essential and from Essential to Premium. Premium User Experience will have more options to access the modules. What happens if you want to renenable this function in the future will the data stay as it was? Yes the data will stay as it is. There won’t be a change in the data. I hope the above clarification helps. Kindly let me know for any clarification.

The Navigate function means different things on different pages. Eg Navigate on a Sales Order suggests you can move to another function within that order. However on Posted Transactions Navigate suggest you can drill down. Maybe change the word to Drill Down on the posted transactions. Very hard to explain to users. Lets make it easier.
