  • Need Ability to export rdl for OOB report, modify the report, and import as new report

Once upon a time, in a far less sophisticated version of D365CE, we were able to export the rdl of an out of box (OOB) report, modify it with SSRS, then import it as a new report. This was a very powerful feature since the OOB reports were not modifiable in D365CE. Many times, an OOB report was close to what was needed, so could be used as the template for the new report. We were also able to export reports we created with the Report Wizard, pretty them up in SSRS and reimport them. Per Microsoft support, we are not able to do this. It has been on their list for a long time to provide this functionality again, but is still backlogged. Please vote to pull this functionality higher in their list of priorities.
  • Update User Modified On and Modified By when #CDSUserManagement updates user records in D365 Customer Engagement

#CDSUserManagement automatically assigns the highest level of security (System Administrator) in D365 Customer Engagement to all Global Admins, whether you want them to have they keys to the kingdom or not. When #CDSUserManagement adds the System Administrator security role to Global Admins, the Modified On and Modified By is INCONSISTENTLY updated, therefore, showing fraudulent data in the user record. I am not sure what causes the reassignment of System Administrator role to take place. What I have observed is: 1. #CDSUserManagement user assigns System Administrator security role to all Global Admins in D365 Customer Engagement. 2. When I log in and remove System Administrator security role from the Global Admin users, Modified On and Modified by is updated. properly. 3. At some point After I remove System Administrator from the Global Admin Users, #CDSUserManagement user reassigns System Administrator to the Global Admin User. BUT, does NOT update the Modified on and Modified by, making it look like I added the System Administrator role to the user record. This suggestion is asking Microsoft to appropriately update the User record in D365 Customer Engagement when they force an update to a User record. It is especially important when assigning the highest level of security to a user record automatically, and totally out of control of those actually responsible for security in the D365 Customer Engagement environments.
  • Enable both Hierarchy and Editable Grid to be used on an entity in Dynamics Customer Engagement

Microsoft has two very nice functionalities for views of entities: Editable Grids Hierarchy Unfortunately, you cannot have both activated on one entity, Editable Grid prevents Hierarchy from displaying. Please enable both Editable Grids and Hierarchy to be used in the same entity. Maybe make one effective at the view level instead of entity level.
  • Permissions for N:N Relationships

N to N relationships do not have their own security, it adopts the security of the entity it is built on.

This complicates the ability to use N to N relationships effectively. For example, there are many record types that can be appended to an Account record. To prevent a N to N record from being created by a user, we need to take away the append permission which prevents them from creating records for the Account record they should have permission to.

Suggestion is to provide way to give N:N relationships their own security permissions that can be assigned to users for legitimate use of the N:N.

  • Additional font adjustment for charts

We have charts related to Opportunities that are very busy when displayed. They contain the information we need all together, but are difficult to read when copied to a document or powerpoint slide.

We have tried exporting and modifying the font size, but have had minimal luck getting the proper display, or having the font change stay consistent when expanding the display of the chart..

Please provide a way to further adjust the appearance of the charts, mainly the font of the text.
