Drop down to select purchase order (and order line) when receiving via Mobile device
When the mobile device is used in order to receive purchase orders, (Purchase order line receiving of purchase order item receiving) we first have to scan or enter the purchase order number. When a carrier arrives with the goods, the documents he has, usually do not have a barcode with the purchase order on it. Entering the purchase order on a mobile device is not always an option. So the only option to be able to do a receipt is to print all of the expected arrivals and print the purchase order number (and also the item number) in barcode on the product receipt list in order to be able to scan the purchase order and the item number (as item number can't be scanned either in a lot of cases, for example when the item number is part of an EAN128 barcode on the LP, which is not supported by AX). In order to have a paperless receipt it would be nice to have a drop down on all open purchase orders. If you would be able to first select the vendors with open orders, the list of open purchase orders could be limited. If the purchase order was selected, it would also be nice to have an overview of all the open purchase order lines and be able to select the order line (item) to receive. there are also other flows where drop downs could be useful. For example report as finish production orders, receiving RMA,... In the current flows it is not possible to receive paperless. -
Movement with mobile device not automatically populating variant or batch if only one variant or batch is avalilable on the from location
Description of problem: When a movement is made using the mobile device and the location the item is moved from only contains 1 item with one batch, (and one configuration in case of variants), the configuration and the batch number are automatically collected. You do not need to enter or scan the config id or the batch number. In case there are multiple configuration of the same item on the location, the config ID is not populated and you have to scan or enter the configuration. This is perfectly normal as D365 doesn't know what configuration needs to be moved. But if the location only contains one configuration and batch of the same item, but has a different item on stock as well, you also have to enter or scan the configuration or the batch. This is not logical as there is only one configuration and batch of the item you would like to move. Scenario: select yourself a non LP location without on hand stock Make sure a mobile device menu item has been configured for movements select or create 2 items for example with configuration and batch as active dimensions Create stock on the selected location for one of the items. When you start a movement using the mobile device, scan the location. Now all details of the item is automatically collected and populated on the mobile device Cancel the flow (so do not move the stock)Now create stock of the other item on the same location. Again, start the mobile device flow and select the location. Enter the item number you would like to move Now you have to enter all of the details of the item even if there is only one configID and only one batch of the item on the location. The validation is only on location. It would be easier if the validation of multiple dimensions on hand should be on location and item as well. -
Configure job card terminal prompt for production area after login by employee instead of opening the form
The prompt for production area on the job card terminal configuration pops up at the wrong time. When the parameter is marked and I open the job card terminal from production control > manufacturing excecution > Job card terminal, the prompt for production area appears. Then I can select a resource or a resource group and then I can enter my employee ID to clock in. But if another employee wants to register feedback on another machine on the same terminal, the prompt doesn't appear again. In fact, the prompt for production area never appears again, as I think the shopfloor worker only have the job card terminal available. They do not have the option to go to the menu and select the job card terminal from the menu (for example because limited nav is used on the floor). Shouldn't it pop up after the employee has entered the badge number? Otherwise this has no purpose.
All other parameters on the job card terminal configuration are triggered once the employee logs in. Then the values of the configuration linked to the employee are used, except for the prompt. -
Show filterable names of customers, vendors and items on different screens in FO
On a lot of screens in FO you can only see item number, sales order number, customer account, purchase order number or vendor ID. But a user doesn't always know what the ID actually means. And yes, you can hoover to find out what the name behind the ID is. But a user would like to see the names and be able to filter on the names instead of working with ID's. Is there a plan to add more names on different (preferably all) forms in FO? -
Mobile device report as finish quantity input
When performing a report as finsh flow on the mobile device the remaining quantity of the production order is always suggested. Isn't it better to leave the quantity blanc and to let the operator define how much he is about to report? In most of the cases a production order is reported in several times per LP for example. Or also the quantity of a production order can be different than the initial quantity. The procedure is to delete and update the quantity every time. It should be better to leave the quantity blanc and let the operator define the quantity to report instead of suggesting a quantity that needs to be updated every time; Another remark is that once you report as finish a quantity (for example 1 LP), you need to enter or scan the production order again. It should be more interesting to keep the flow on the same production order and to be able to return back to the quantity screen to report another License plate for the same production order again. Only when the operator decides to leave the menu by a button the flow returns to the screen to scan or enter the production order. -
Batch balancing select should be per batch not per license plate
When performing batch balancing you have to select batch numbers as you are about to select and reserve batches depending on the attribute value of that batch. But the selection options are splitted by License plate (or at the lowest dimension).
So, if you have for example stock of a certain batch of 100, but this is stored at 10 license plates with each 10 on stock, you need to select the same batch 10 times, where you only would like to select the batch.

Batch balacing release to warehouse balanced vs non balanced items
If you are doing a standard release to warehouse of a production order you can release to warehouse multiple times. If for example you have a production order where you would like to already pick the packaging items and bring them to the line, but not yet other components that still need to be reported as finished for example it is possible to release a second time or a third time and create new work for item. Or if you have released the order and an item is still in a location that is not in the location directives it is possible that work has been created for all of the components but one. If the item is moved or released it will create work again for this one item.
I understand that batch balancing needs to reserve the active ingredients in order to calculate the quantity for the filler and the compensating, but if at the moment of release work has not been created for all items there is no situation to get the items on the production input location.
The only option is to reset the status and do the batch balancing again.
I think it should be better to make the standard release to warehouse possible for all items but the active, filler and compensating.
And there should be a better way to rerun the batch balancing without resetting the status of the production order just to create the work for the active, the compensating and the filler.
Currently it is a lot of work to reset the status and do the batch balancing again, knowing the issues of the incorrect formula lines when resetting the status (which will be solved in 2.19) and the issues where it is possible to select reserved stock and to select a batch per license plate (other tickets already logged).

One button to create production or batch orders
Currently there is a button to create a new production order and a button to create a new batch order. When you select production order and you enter a formula item it gives you the message that it is not possible to create a production order with a formula item and vica versa.
It must be a simple modification to have only one button to create a new order and based on the selected item continue the flow accordingly.
A simple modification, but much more user friendly I think.

One button for reservation
Currently there is a button batch reservation and a button reservation on for example sales order lines or prodbom lines.
Why not only provide one button to reserve and based on the selected item the system should know to open the batch reservation option or the non batch reservation screen.
Why having 2 buttons.
Not all users know by hart that an item is batch controlled or not.

reprint license plate labels based on other criteria than License plate
Using the mobile device there is a menu item to reprint license plate labels.
This requires to scan the license plate which will then trigger the reprint of that license plate label.
But in cases where a label is damaged or was not printed at all (or any other reason), and the license plate is not available, the operator cannot enter or scan a License plate ID.
It would be nice to reprint labels based on other criteria in the license plate label table.
In case the operator knows the purchase order, or the production order for example it would be much more interesting to enter (or scan) those details and to reprint all or a limited list of labels linked to that variable from the license plate table.
