  • User cannot track appointments and sync items on Shared calendar

    When User has Editor permission on shared calendar.  Occasionally user can track an appointment but when user sets the Regarding the activity does not sync.  It says " This meeting will be tracked after it is saved or sent."  Many times when user tries to track it says "You can't track an appointment that was created by another User."  this  is an trending issues and it would be fixed with 8.1.  Even we are still able to repro the issue on 8.1 org cannot track and sync items on a shared calendar.

  • Issue when adding a Company Name to a new Contact, through the Look Up field

    When a new email is tracked in the Outlook Client and there is a contact not existing (name is in red) and you click the name and click Create a Contact. This will bring up the Contact Page for this newly created contact. When I attempt to enter a Company Name (Account) through the Look Up field I get a Yellow Exclamation stating there are multiple records, however there is only one record. This does not occur when I create a new Contact through the Web version. This is affecting all of my users!

    I have performed testing on this and narrowed down the issue where it only occurs when you are adding the Company (Account) to the Contact Record and click the Lookup More Records button and choose the Account from the Look Up Screen.

    You will not encounter this error if you search for the Account and choose it from the list of 10 records that pops up. For example if you type in “Southern” and click enter then choose the Southern WA (one of our clients) record you will not receive the Exclamation Point Error. But if you do this same thing except you click on Look Up More Records and then Choose the Southern WA record you will receive the Exclamation error.

    Our contact with Ledgeview has also tested this against other orgs and this occurs on multiple other orgs.

    This will happen for anyone that utilizes the Create a Contact feature through CRM for Outlook when they try to add the Contact Company.

    This does not occur on any other platforms, just through the Outlook Client.

    I know this has NOTHING to do with Java Skript, so i do not need to disable that function.

  • While saving an task from outlook email through dynamics 365

    When user trying to create the task from an email in Dynamic 365 in outlook we get an error message as "String length too long You have exceeded the maximum number of {0} characters in this field if you contact support, please provide the technical details. session ID:d629fbc9-16e5-33f1-e877-be354abeba7b Activity ID:d77dc049-92d0-4223-b8b5-1fb2f1d4b2c9 Timestamp: Mon feb 13 2017 19:46:24 GMT-0500 EST" However it is observed that any lengthy email when trying to create as task we get an error message as String length too long You have exceeded the maximum number of {0} However there must be some way to increase the character limit for the dynamics 365 in the outlook for task.
