Make the Sales Attachments like Connections to the Sales Literature
Suppose I want to use the Sales Literature feature like a "bucket" for all of the things needed to make a Sale: product sheets, rate sheets, standard contracts, resumes, etc. This is great because when I set the Regarding of an Email and attach a Sales Literature "bucket", all the Sales Attachments are included; I select one Sales Literature "bucket" and I don't forget any necessary Attachment.
But all of those things (product sheets, rate sheets, standard contracts, resumes, etc.) themselves have expiration dates. And, I want to centrally manage those attachments, not manually go into each Sales Literature "bucket" to re-upload the same attachment.
So, can we get a N:N relationship between Sales Literature and Sales Attachments?
(P.S. it would be AWESOME if, when using SharePoint and a Sales Attachment is checked in, said document was pushed over to CRM...) -
Ability to set the default Regarding entity in the CRM for Outlook add-in
Steps:
-Go to your Outlook inbox when the CRM for Outlook add-in is installed.
-Select Set Regarding in the Outlook Ribbon.
-The Look Up Record dialog box appears; it is defaulted to the Account entity.
Scenario:
As a system admin, I need the ability to default this to entities other than Accounts as follows below. There is currently no way to do this.
Department------->Desired Default Entity
Sales--------------->Opportunities
Marketing--------->Campaign Activities or Campaign Responses
Customer Service-->Cases
Solution Delivery-->Projects (custom entity)
Currently, since the Look Up Record dialog doesn't resize based on end-users zoom level***, end-users don't immediately know that they /can/ set an email / appointment to non-Account records. This results in a firehouse of information tracked to Accounts that actually are most pertinent to our Account's related records.
Although honestly, even if they did know, defaulting it appropriately would be helpful to alleviate training issues / usability complaints.

Hide Lead Options in Convert Campaign Response dialog box when Lead entity access is revoked
Scenario: Suppose instead of using the Lead entity, our organization elects to use Campaign Response entity. This way there is a direct linkage between our tradeshow Campaign and the Campaign Responses (aka the people we knew or met at the tradeshow) without risking duplicate records.
If all of the privileges to the Lead entity are revoked and a user tries to convert Campaign Response to an Opportunity, the Convert Response dialog box still contains the "Create a lead" and "Convert to an existing lead" options (see attached picture).
It would be nice if the privileges the user had drove the options selectable on this "form". For example, if I couldn't create leads, the "Create a lead" option would be hidden. -
Ability to set recurring tasks in Outlook and have them flow to CRM [CRM 2015]
Users want to set recurring tasks to reconnect with Contacts in Outlook but want to have those visible in CRM. This is so that if multiple people have recurring tasks for the same Contact, they all can join the other's "sales call", be excused because so-and-so has the better relationship, etc., etc.
Currently there isn't a way to set a recurring task in Outlook, track it, and have it sync to CRM.
