  • Firming a planned PO to an existing PO

The PO field on the planned Purchase order is a nice feature to firm to existing PO's. But the field is as good as un-usable. It shows ALL po's in the world instead of filtering on the vendor and on the status being "open' to even allow a new line. This has to be changed promptly. In addition the search window that opens up only has the column PO number and vendor name. It should have vendor ID , PO number and PO status. THen this feature will become usable.
  • Alerts not available on Purchase agreement header or line fields

We want alerts on the expiry date of a PUrchase Agreement. THe alert feature is available for the purch agreement but you cannot choose any fields. This makes the alert unusable. One should be able to choose fields on header or line. That is the idea. Just like alerts everywhere else.
  • No error quantity field in the RAF handheld menu

THe handheld menu item RAF and putaway does not have the "error quantity" field and the "error cause" field that we have in the RAF transaction. This is a gap that needs to be fixed.
  • Libary number should default in when task recording saving

We are task recording. This idea should go to LIFE CYCLE SERVICES> The point is the library. We have a lot of libraries but at some point we use only one library to save task recordings to. There has to be a way to set the library as a default while you are working on these recordings. Right now the system has no idea which library and each time you save a new task recording, you have to look up that library number. When you have that number ready and you type it in, that does not help, You still have to scroll a list of libraries to find it. This takes an enormous amount of extra time that is wasted. IDEA Can we set the library number to be fixed as long as we are task recording. Some session default parameter.
  • No more seperate login for Workflow please

Since D365 we have to log in separately when we want to update any workflow. With the addition of second level security this has become an enormous drag on our productivity. It takes a long time to get through the login. With automatic logins used for D365 itself it is beyond me why this double login cannot be avoided. We lose lots of time through this.
  • Get rid of the double approval for BOM's and Routings

Bom and Routing have two approval boxes. One for the BOm / route itself then one for the link between item and its BOM and its Route.
I suggest to get rid of that double approval. No customer in the world is using this for some kind of bueinsss process. THey approve a BOM and that is it. they approve a route and that is it. the subtlety of approving a link in addition is lost on the user and is not giving any advantage. The slider to "also approve" is a step forward, Let it default to yes always. would be another step forward. Removing the whole double approval is the best. No confusion anymore "I just approved?? why is it saying this?? etc.

  • Prod order shortage screen

The "prod orders to release" that indicates material shortages with yellow triangle is unusable and needs to be drastically changed: -remove any prefilter on having a production unit on your resource group. This is optional functionality. THe system works fine without production units and it makes no sense to make it suddenly mandatory here -remove any prefilter of job scheduling. It should not matter what type of scheduling we use. -remove the hard coded filter that prod orders need scheduled start date today in order to appear in this screen.
  • Remove link between Production order scheduling and picking work

We do not see the functional need for the current link between having open picking work for a production order and the ability to (re) schedule that order. It creates a big problem. If one runs a scheduling batch to make sure orders are rescheduled regularly, any open picking work makes scheduling impossible. My dates will be incorrect until I have finished picking work. It is not unusual that the prod order is in status released, picking work exists, we have not completed picking work yet, and we need to reschedule the order for some reason. This can change the "raw material date" of the material in the PROD BOM, but we already have picking work, that fact is now completely irrelevant. I don't think any manufacturing company is benefitting from having this picking work - scheduling link. Please remove it.
  • Change the display of "resource" in the Cost details screen

When we are in the Cost details screen of the cost calculation screen and we have a mfg item with one or more routing steps, the labor costs show with type "setup" or "process" in the total view of costs of this assembly. When material cost we see the item number. WHen it is labor, and our routing steps are defined for Resource groups, we see a RANDOM resource of that group in this screen. This is not causing any calculation problems but it is very confusing for the user. The screen suggests that this resource somehow has anything to do with the cost for labor set up or process? This is not true at all. We would be more informed seeing the resource GROUP here. That is the idea: please follow what the routing is showing. If a group is in the routing show the group. If a resource, show the resource.
  • Please add the unit sequence id field to the CREATE RELEASED PRODUCTS screen. Please!!!

WHen creating a new item and using advanced warehousing the mandatory field "unit sequence id" is not available. This is unacceptable. I should be able to create a new released prod with all mandatory field in one step. Now I have to NOT FORGET to enter that field after I created the item. I can guarantee hundreds of users have forgotten , get to a transaction and get the error. The user has to be protected from making this mistake.
