  • Business Events Exception Log - Error Notification feature

Within System Administration / Setup / Business Events / Business Events Catalog there is an 'Errors' tab/form. But on that form there is no way to configure/add an alert for when an 'Error' actually occurs.

So if/when Azure is having issues, or a data encryption certificate error occurs you have no alert capability to get notified (email / text) to proactively address the issue. Instead you are forced to wait until the impacted downstream business process fails.

We really need this ability to set alerts (email and/or text) if/when an error is recorded in the errors form.

I can filter the 'Errors' form by everything other than 'Event sent. No error' and quickly can find the errors, but who has the time to sit and watch this form for an error to occur.

    Thank you.

  • Business Event recovery automation when SQL database changes availability zones

We have had two instances now where our SQL database was moved to different availability zones. This process is automated on MS side.

But when this occurs we end up with a bundle of business events that get 'stuck' in the AX framework database and we end up having to create a SEV A ticket to get script run to fix/clear the bundle issue.

This process needs to be automated and cleared since the proceeding step is already automated and as a customer we have no visibility into changes of availability zones.

Business events are a critical piece of our business processes and directly impacts our deliveries to end customers.
