  • Item reservations should be an option on project purchase orders invoicing or project work order reporting as finished.

    When we invoice project purchase orders or report as finish project work orders, items are auto consumed, not stocked. Reservation should be an option instead of auto consuming.

  • Expense report header and line workflow status is compatible

    We setup both header and line workflows for expense report. If we approve all lines, status of header and all lines become approved. But if we reject all lines or some of the lines, the status of header is still in review and not changed. At the end, some lines are approved, some lines are rejected but header is still in review and they are not compatible. If some of the lines are approved and some of them are rejected header status should be changed to "partially approved", if all lines are rejected header status should be changed to "rejected".
  • Using other type resources (vendor, machine, tool etc.) in addition to human resources

    We can use only "human resource" type resources for project planning, but we should also use machine, tool, vendor etc. type resources like in production. Different sectors, such as construction and assembling companies plan different type resource to perform an service.

  • Free text invoice project aktivity field

    We can activate project field on free text invoice lines, so for time and material projects we can post revenue to the project via free text invoice. But there is no project activity field and we can't post revenue for a specific activity, so we can't create records in ProjRevenueTrans in activity basis. We should manage this like in sales order lines.

  • Mobile app expense management financial dimension selection

    On expense management mobile app, we can create expense reports and expense lines but we can't select financial dimensions. For businness needs, we should select dimensions, else we can't get correct voucher when we post expense report.
  • Project budget tracking in category group or transaction level instead of category level

    We create the project budget by entering the cost/revenue amount by selecting the project ID and the category ID. Both fields are mandatory on the budget line. Thus, we are not able to create an overview budget at the transaction or category group level at this point. However, we have the same option on the "project budget balances" inquiry form. We can group by the project balance at the category, category group, transaction, and cost template level even if we create the budget and the transactions in different levels.


    For instance, for a project that will take 3 years to complete, we may want to control the costs vs budget so as not to exceed the budget. At the beginning of the project, we could estimate the total transportation costs for expenses but couldn't separate them by specific categories like flight, train, bus, rental car, etc. However, when we create actual transactions during the project execution, we need to post costs at the category level because we need to use different cost accounts and report the costs in category detail. The system doesn't allow posting an expense by using one of the categories mentioned above. Because it always controls whether a budget line with the same category is created, or not. In this case, we have a budget line with a generic category, "transportation" and the system cannot match them.


    This budget tracking process should be parametric and we should be able to create detailed or summarized budget and have the option to select the budget tracking level.
