  • Ability to prevent reset from Application Settings

Problem - There is an issue with the Cashiers able to Reset the MPOS from the Windows Store Settings > Reset Application. Most of the root cause is the Cashiers are accidentally Reset application when they explore around the MPOS. Proposed Resolution - So can you put in a control in MPOS to check if the user is a proper administrator of the PC so they can proceed to Reset the Windows store application, else prevent them from doing a Reset.
  • Prevent "Reset Application" of MPOS from Windows Store by POS User

Problem Statement - The POS Cashiers during the course of exploring the MPOS application can accidentally Rest the MPOS when they perform the Reset from Windows store settings. This causes unnecessary overhead to involve the Store IT to put back the devices to Pending before the devices can be reactivated again. Idea/Possible Resolution - As the windows store reset happens outside of the MPOS, is there any way to prevent it by checking if the Windows user logon is an Administrator of the PC. Any other alternative approaches also would be great if this can be enforced.

  • Capture User Id of Manager Override together with the Retail Transactions

A vital component of security audit trail in store operations is to identify if an override has happened at the shopping cart and who executed the override permission. This information should be easily accessible to the HQ business so they can view directly from the transaction and preferably they can run reports from Retail HQ. The information that can be captured minimally with the retail store transactions are; 1. Staff Id/Name 2. Date/Time 3. Manual, Card swipe, etc An option also would be to link it with the Audit events in D365 which is already available at the Retail store transactions.
  • New Store - Retail Channel Id to follow Number sequences framework

For the new Retail Store Creation, currently the Store Number, Operating Unit number sequences can be set as "Manual" and manually entered the desired format on the Retail Stores Form. But Retail Channel Id field is completely non-editable even after setting the number sequence as Manual. This creates a mismatch in the Store sequences where customers would like to keep the same identification for both Store Number & Retail Channel Id. To follow the standard D365 number sequence pattern for the id fields in Retail Store > Retail Channel Id during Retail Store creation.
