  • Engineering version updates in BOMs "automatically update Bills of materials with new versions of a product instead of changing them manually."

For a product that has been up issued, there are cases where we deactivate the previous iterations of the product due to some form of fault or problem at which we would only want the new version to be sold. This product is, however, found in multiple BOMs across the product range and each BOM will need to be updated to reflect the use of the new version.

  • Warehouse filters is not taken into consideration while creating quality orders.

When user try to create a quality order the suggested quantity not consider the warehouse specified during the creation but sum all the quantities for the item contained into the site.

The quantity represented overall the whole site not considering the specified warehouse included during the Quality order creation process.

causes misunderstandings and uncertainties in the user with loss of time and efficiency in the creation of quality control orders.

  • Unstable process of accounting for Product receipt documents in finance

when posting Product Receipt Journal documents. Some documents are recorded in finance, while others are not. An attachment is created, but there are no entries in the general ledger.

the financial attachment to these items derecognizes physical values that were not recorded in the finances, so a discrepancy arises not just customer experience.

  • The import of the product route operation properties (using "Engineering change order product route operation properties V2" entity) fails when trying to modify lines with Change type "Unchanged".

    Title:

Enhancement of the “Engineering Change Order Product Route Operation Properties V2” Entity in Dynamics 365

    Description:

In Dynamics 365, when importing product route operation properties using the “Engineering Change Order Product Route Operation Properties V2” entity, the import process does not proceed if the field “Change Type” is set to “Unchanged”. Moreover, the value of this field cannot be altered during the import process.

This behavior poses a challenge as it requires the user to know beforehand what has changed in a route and what has not, which is not a practical real-life scenario. Additionally, the user performing the import may not have access to the route form in the client due to separate security duties for the two actions.

    Suggestion:

To enhance the user experience and accommodate real-life scenarios, it is suggested that the “Change Type” field be made editable during the import process. This would allow the system to automatically update the field if the line has been edited, without requiring manual intervention or access to the route form in the client.

This enhancement would not only streamline the import process but also uphold the principle of least privilege in terms of access rights, thereby bolstering the security of the system.

    Impact:

This improvement would greatly benefit users who rely on the import functionality in Dynamics 365, making the process more efficient, practical, and secure.

  • Error while Using Keyboard Shortcut to add a new misc. charge on sales order header.

I have encountered an issue while using Dynamics 365. Specifically, when I attempt to use a keyboard shortcut to add a new miscellaneous charge on the sales order header, an error occurs.

    Steps to Reproduce:

    1. Open Dynamics 365.
    2. Navigate to the Sales Order section.
    3. Select a sales order and go to the header Maintain charges.
    4. Attempt to add a new miscellaneous charge using the keyboard shortcut.

    Expected Result:

The system should allow the addition of a new miscellaneous charge to the sales order using the keyboard shortcut without any errors.

    Actual Result:

An error message is displayed when attempting to add a new miscellaneous charge using the keyboard shortcut.

    Impact:

This issue hinders the efficient use of the system, as it requires manual navigation to add a new miscellaneous charge, which can be time-consuming and less efficient.

  • Short pick scenario is not working with Group Pick picking option.

    Title:

Enhancement of Group Pick Functionality in D365 for Short Pick Scenarios

    Description:

We have identified a critical issue in Dynamics 365 where the ‘Short Pick’ scenario does not operate as anticipated when paired with the ‘Group Pick’ picking option. This discrepancy has been causing significant disruptions in our operations.

In a typical scenario, when a Work ID with multiple lines utilizes the Short Pick function with the “Group Pick” parameter enabled, only the first line is picked. Subsequently, the remaining lines are closed with zero quantity picked. This outcome persists regardless of whether we employ Automatic or Manual reallocation, leading to the same behavior.

We firmly believe that an enhancement addressing this issue could substantially augment the efficiency and effectiveness of the picking process in Dynamics 365. By rectifying this, we can ensure a smoother and more reliable picking process, thereby improving overall operational productivity. We kindly request that this matter be prioritized for future updates.

  • Enable Expiry Date Input for Auto Batch Number Group in Mobile Device Receiving

    Title:

Enable Expiry Date Input for Auto Batch Number Group in Mobile Device Receiving

    Description:

Currently, the system automatically populates the batch number when receiving items on a mobile device, and the expiration date is not required if the batch number group is set to auto batch. However, some customers have expressed the need to input an expiry date even when the batch number is auto-generated. This feature would enhance the flexibility and usability of the system for customers who need to track expiration dates for their inventory.

    Problem Statement:

Customers need the ability to input an expiry date when receiving items on a mobile device, even when the batch number is automatically generated. The current system does not allow this, which can lead to challenges in inventory management and tracking for customers who rely on expiration dates.

    Proposed Solution:

Introduce a feature that allows users to input an expiry date when receiving items on a mobile device, even if the batch number group is set to auto batch. This feature should be optional and configurable, so customers can choose whether or not to use it based on their specific needs.

    Benefits:

    • Improved inventory management and tracking for customers who need to monitor expiration dates.
    • Increased flexibility and usability of the system.
    • Enhanced customer satisfaction by addressing a common pain point.

    Use Case:

A customer receives a shipment of perishable goods on a mobile device. The system automatically generates a batch number, but the customer also needs to input an expiry date to ensure proper inventory management. With the proposed feature, the customer can easily input the expiry date, improving their ability to track and manage their inventory.

  • Customizable Button Visibility in Warehouse Management App

    Title:

Customizable Button Visibility in Warehouse Management App

    Description:

In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Warehouse management app version 3.0.0.0, users encounter a new ‘Workload’ button on the main menu screen that is disproportionately large compared to other buttons and does not function as intended for some users. Currently, there is no option to individually hide or remove this button without affecting other interface elements. This feature would enhance the flexibility and usability of the system for customers who need to customize their interface according to specific needs.

    Problem Statement:

Customers need the ability to hide or remove the ‘Workload’ button on the Warehouse management app’s main menu screen without affecting other buttons. The current system only allows resizing all buttons or disabling the button, which does not fully meet the customer’s requirements. This limitation can lead to a cluttered interface and reduced efficiency for users who do not need this button.

    Proposed Solution:

Introduce a feature that allows users to selectively hide or remove individual buttons on the Warehouse management app interface. This feature should be optional and configurable, enabling customers to tailor their workflow screens according to their specific needs and preferences.

    Benefits:

    • Improved user interface customization, leading to a cleaner and more efficient workspace.
    • Increased flexibility and usability of the system.
    • Enhanced customer satisfaction by addressing a common pain point.
    • Reduced clutter and potential confusion for users who do not need certain buttons.

    Use Case:

A customer uses the Warehouse management app and finds the ‘Workload’ button on the main menu screen to be unnecessarily large and non-functional for their specific workflow. With the proposed feature, the customer can easily hide or remove the ‘Workload’ button, resulting in a more streamlined and efficient interface that better suits their operational needs.

  • Enable Grouping of Related Fields for Promotion in D365

Title: Enable Grouping of Related Fields for Promotion in D365

    Description:

Currently, on pages with multiple repeating pairs of fields (e.g., cluster position and quantity), promoting these fields does not maintain their paired order. When attempting to promote position fields, all position fields are moved to the top, leaving quantity fields below, which causes confusion as users cannot easily identify which fields are related.

Proposed Solution: Introduce a feature that allows grouping of related fields for the purpose of field promotion. This would enable users to promote pairs of fields (e.g., position and quantity) together, maintaining their order and relationship, thus improving usability and reducing confusion.

    Benefits:

    • Enhanced user experience by maintaining the logical grouping of related fields.
    • Reduced confusion and errors when promoting fields.
    • Increased efficiency in data management and entry.
