  • Warning at POS when item inventory is zero in D365

    This suggestion is for the POS to provide a warning when the inventory of an item you are trying to sell is zero (as represented in D365 on-hand amounts). This will warn that the inventory of that item will go into the negative. Also, some companies may not want inventory to ever go negative, in which case it would be convenient to be able to block a sale of an item with zero inventory at the POS. This feature would not be used in the case that a customer already has the product in their hands before purchase, however, in a case where product inventory is tightly controlled and is stored behind the counter or in a back room it would be quite useful to prevent or warn about the sale of zero inventory items. In this case, the inventory problem could be discovered at the POS right away and then the company could take steps to fix it.

  • Allow to restrict "reset a password" on MPOS to store address book only

    It would be very useful to be able to restrict the reset password function on the MPOS so that store managers can only reset passwords for employees assigned to their store address book. Otherwise, the store manager can reset passwords for any other worker. It would also be useful to have a record created when a user resets someone else's password so that an audit trail is created.
  • Ability to email gift receipt

    Currently we can only email the sales receipt. It would be great if we could also be able to email the gift receipt for POS sales when that option is selected.

  • Prevent or warn about return transaction if there is not enough cash in the till

    It would be useful to be able to either block or show a warning on the POS if the user tries to return an item and this would require them to give more cash than is in the till. For instance, the system could use the "short" amount to know how much cash should be in the till, and if a return is attempted that would be greater than the short amount, the POS could display a warning that there is not enough cash in the till to complete the return if trying to return in cash.
  • Put a field for the income/expense account name in the receipt designer

    Right now the customer receipt prints when you do an income or expense transaction on the POS but there is no field that you can add in the receipt designer that will add the income/expense account name to the receipt. It would be useful to be able to identify this on the printed receipt.
  • Allow block product at the variant level

    It would be useful to be able to block a product variant from being sold at the POS or from the online channel in the case of a product recall or other issue with the product. It seems we are currently only able to block at the product level, which includes all variants. In the meantime, a work around for this is to exclude the product variant from the store's assortment.
  • Return product and return sales order should not have same POS operation and permissions

    Retailers can use the return product operation on the mPOS to do a return without a receipt. However, this operation is also linked to returning a sales order through the omnichannel return order process on the mPOS. It is logical to have manager permission required for a return without receipt, but when you require manager permission for this operation it also requires you to enter manager creds when doing a return of a sales order at the mPOS. There should be an option to require manager permission on one and not the other. Reference: REG:118070418519477
  • Allow to cancel customer order lines from the mPOS

    When you do a pick up in store customer order, it is possible to reject order lines if they can't be fulfilled at the store. It would also be a useful configuration to be able to reject and cancel these order lines automatically if they won't be fulfilled at all. In practice this would be useful in a scenario where a customer's order can't be fulfilled since the store's stock ran out but they still want to pick up the remaining items on their order (and the company does not want to allow backorders).

  • Update deliver remainder on lines from POS order fulfillment screen

    It would be useful to be able to update an SO's deliver remainder on the lines from the POS order fulfillment screen. This would be used in cases where an entire order can't be fulfilled at the store and the store wants to partially pick up (no back orders - customer is informed that their order could not be fully fulfilled and they are only charged for the reduced amount).

  • Welcome bonus points when joining loyalty program

    It would be great if it was possible to configure a welcome bonus (ex. number of points) that the customer automatically received upon signing up to the loyalty program. They would earn these points right away (when they sign up) without having to do any type of transaction to earn them.
