Put away of a mixed license plate with the Warehousing APP
If the supplier delivers a pallet with mixed items, D365 for Operations assigns one license plate to this pallet. When you do the put away process, the warehouse app proposes the items which you have to scan. This is not handy in case of different items. Actually you would have the option to scan a random item of the pallet.

Crossdocking for production order requirements
The current WHS functionality doesn't have functionality to cross dock production requirements.
Scenario/situation
- A production order for assembly of a finished product with 100 parts
- 90 parts are on-stock
- 10 parts are not on-stock
- Production order is released to the warehouse (allow partial release)
- Wave is created, but not fully processed due 10 parts are not on stock
- Pick & Put work is created for 90 parts
- Supplier delivers the 10 remaining parts
- 10 remaining parts will be registered on the inbound location
Solution Idea
- An automatic put away proposal of the 10 parts from inbound to the input location of the production order.
- D365 should consider the open production wave lines for the put away from inbound to the input location
- An automatic split up of put away work to central warehouse location and input location in case when more parts arrives then required.

Automatic bar code creation for a released product
When you create a new released product, or release a product to legal entity, the user must set up the bar code manually.
It would be helpful for the user if the bar code being created automatically when the released product being created.
Once created, the parameter ‘scanning’ must be switched on. The above mechanism must also work when create a new product dimension, like size, configuration, style or engineering version.

Warehouse initiation wizard
When you create new work templates for a new warehouse via the Warehouse initiation wizard, the wizard does not configure a query like the location directive actions. Would be useful if the logic of the location directive action query also being applied for the work templates.

Save filters in a view for for Release Transfer orders to warehouse and Release sales orders to warehouse
The form 'Release transfer orders to warehouse' and 'Release sales orders to warehouse' has a technical limitation that you cannot save a filter in a view. The view feature is really useful for a user, so it is a pity that it does not work for the forms 'release transfer orders to warehouse' and 'Release sales orders to warehouse'. The reason why it is a usefull feature for the mentioned forms is, that the user want to configure a filter (for example mode of deliver) and re-use when you re-open the form.

Additional condition/rules for the Release sales/transfer order batch to Warehouse
Via a batch "Release sales order to warehouse" or "Release transfer orders to warehouse" Dynamics 365 SCM can release the orders automatically to the warehouse for picking. In the query of the batch you can configure a condition that the ship date must be equal to today for the automatic release to the warehouse. Unfortunately, it is not possible to add a "shipment window", for example the shipment date of today + 2 days in future. There other limitation is that you cannot set up the query in such a way that it does not release the sales orders where the shipment date is empty.
In short:
· A condition that the batch only releases order lines with shipment date of today + 2 days is not possible to set up.
· A condition that the batch only releases order lines with a shipment date is not possible to set up. (in combination with the first condition)
A new feature that would allow to set up rules that allows the system to release order lines within a time window and ignores the order lines without ship date would be useful. The new feature would be useful for automatic release of the orders to pick and ship them in advance.

Automatic inventory status assignment during transfer order receipt
There are scenarios where you want to assign automatically an different inventory status when you receive a transfer order, for example when you transfer goods to a special warehouse for the damaged / used or received return goods.
The solution may look as follow:
- Pick and ship the transfer order from warehouse X with inventory status 'Available'
- Receipt of the transfer order in warehouse Y
- Dynamics must automically assign the inventory status 'Not-available'.
The solution must have somewhere (for example on the warehouse) a parameter where you can define a inventory status for the receipts.

Crossdocking and serial numbers
Crossdocking is a powerful feature, however it does not really work with serialized items. Scenario:
- A sales order with item X / 100 pcs / serial number controlled / warehouse A1
- A transfer order for the transfer of item X from warehouse B1 to A1
- Release sales order to the warehouse for the creation of the crossdocking link
- Picking of the transfer order (1 license plate for 100 pcs)
- Confirm shipment of the transfer order
- Receipt of the transfer order in Warehouse A1 (license plate receipt)
When you receive the transfer order in warehouse A1, Dynamics creates for each serial number a seperate work id. That's really not efficient, because you have to execute each work idea separate. For our scenario it means 100 work id's. I would be useful if we get a solution/new feature which creates only one work id per license plate with multiple serial numbers.

Ability to update container dimensions during packing process
For container types, you can set up default dimensions such as length, width, and height. However, there are scenarios where warehouse workers need to update these dimensions during the packing process, especially when they vary per order. Currently, updating these dimensions during packing is not possible. It would be handy to provide warehouse employees with the ability to update container dimensions either via the pack screen or through the mobile app.

Copy function for the creation mobile device menu items
It would be handy to have a copy function for mobile device menu items, similar to the copy function available for work templates and location directives. This feature would facilitate the quick and efficient creation of new menu items.
