  • Vendor collaboration functionality to allow for master data management

    I would suggest to extend the vendor collaboration functionality to allow for external users of vendors to manage the vendors' master data and addresses, contact details, etcetera.

    It would be required that the organization has control over which master data can be changed. Some changes could also require approval, both from the vendor and within the organization using Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, so any form of (simple) workflow would extend the possible use of this functionality

  • Inventory lookup on MPOS from the product details

    Please add the inventory lookup functionality to the product details page on the MPOS. This would allow the user to directly look up the available inventory after a product has been selected after browsing in the categories or after doing a product compare. Currently, the user has to open the inventory lookup seperately and needs to search the specific product again.

  • Using telemetry to improve the navigation search

    We are all used to performing tens, if not hundreds, of queries a day on search engines whilst browsing on the internet. Nowadays the logic used by these search engines is so advanced, that we are helped to have the best matching results displayed first. The navigation search in Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations is still very, very unintelligent if you compare it to a search engine. Most of the times the first result is not what you are looking for, except if you query explicitly on the exact name of the page. Sometimes the first result is even a page that you know you aren't using that often, or haven't even used at all, ever. 

    And the system knows this. With all the telemetry, of course does it now that you haven't opened a specific page, or that you are opening the all sales orders page multiple times a day. Why wouldn't the navigation search be able to learn from this telemetry. For you specifically, as a user, but you could even imagine this bolder: why wouldn't telemetry allow for more intelligent navigation search across all instances of the solution deployed?

  • Navigation search to support search in English if you set another language

    In most of the implementation scenario's I was involved in, the customer wanted to have the client displayed in the regional language. As a consultant, you are primarily working in Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations in the English language. You know how everything is named in English, and can navigate quickly in that language but mostly fail to reach the same when you are trying to navigate in another language, or even your own language.

    I would suggest the navigation search to support searching in English all of the time, regardless of your user language setting. This would behave just the same as the (currently existing) ability to search for technical form names. 

  • Improve 'is one of' filter option but allowing comma separated filtering instead of having to enter each value separately

    Currently the 'is one of' filter option requires a user to add x amount of filter fields and type/copy a value in each of the filter fields separately for them to be able to filter on multiple values. This is way more complex than allowing filtering based on comma separated strings, which you were able to in previous versions but not anymore in Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.

  • Insert from clipboard copypaste onto multiple rows in a grid

    Please add the functionality to insert from clipboard copy/paste onto multiple rows in grid. SAP has this functionality.

    Use case:

    - User selects i.e. quantities across multiple lines in i.e. Excel

    - User copies multiple lines to the clipboard using CTRL+C

    - User navigaties to Dynamics

    - User pastes across to multiple lines using CTRL+V

  • Ability to enter VAT number for customer on creation/update in POS

    For retailers in Europe, it is very normal to sell to business via their regulair channels. A business can make purchases and request the paid VAT back in their tax declaration. 

    To enable this, the purchase has to be registered on a business customer with a VAT number set. Currently, you are not able to enter the VAT number on the customer account upon creation or update in the POS. This creates the need for retailer to have a back office process to append the customer record with the VAT number.

    Please enable a sales clerk to set a value for the customers' VAT number when creating or updating a customer record from the POS.

  • Make the VAT group code on the address mandatory in case destination based tax is enabled on the channel

    Setting destination based tax on the retail channel enables you to use the VAT group on address for tax calculation. However, this field is not mandatory and can be kept empty. This leads to wrong VAT calculation and cannot be corrected. 

    Please make the VAT group on the address a mandatory field when destination based sales tax is enabled for the retail channel.

  • Being able to save or play task guides as a user from a different tenant

    When implementing a customer project, you are not able to save or play task guides as a user from a different tenant. You are required to have a user account in the same tenant, where this is obviously often not the case i.e. as an implementation partner or external contractor.

    Please allow users from another tenant to view and save task guides to Lifecycle Services based on the fact they are LCS user, i.e. project member.

  • Support integration with project Gauge for questionnaires

    Questionnaires are part of Dynamics for F&O since ages and can be very helpful in specific use cases, but not in it's current state. Please rethink supporting questionnaires using project Gauge.
