Multi-thread processing for picking workbench

The picking workbench offers some functionality over the "Generate picking list" process or posting a picking list directly from the sales order. However, the picking work bench has poor performance in comparison because the process is single threaded even when configured to run as a batch.
This can cause problems, particularly for retailers who typically have a large volume of orders and may not have staff working 24/7 to manually run follow on processes.
Adding multi threading could make the picking workbench a viable option for them.

When a user account is disabled, delete/disable their batch job alerts
Users can create batch job alerts (which are not visible in the custom alerts forms) but when a user account is disabled, perhaps because the employee leaves the organisation, these batch job alerts remain.
There should be a process which automatically deletes the batch job alerts when a user account is disabled (or add the ability to disable a batch job alert, in which case, the alert could be disabled rather than deleted).
