Hologram Speech Ballon
A fillable hologram text box…similar to a cloud bubble with dialog that you see in comics. Doesn't need a lot of text room but being able to provide some text (think twitter 256 in lengths) near a location on a big piece of machinery is helpful.

Square Tag / Circular Tag Hologram
Square Tag/ Circular Tag Hologram – Similar to the speech balloon form comics but really meant to have the square/circular part fit around a piece of equipment with a small tag that can have information. Basically combine a little text balloon with the square/circular hologram that already exists so that it can be placed over specific objects.

Tool/Part Hologram icons to have text
Hololens already tool icons/holograms. The issue is that in the field it is really helpful to know the sizes of the tools. For example, if the wrench icon had the ability to specific 1/2 in. wrench this is very helpful. Additional, if a bolt icon or screw icon had the ability to specific 1/2 inch button head screw for example this goes along way.

QR Code Login and Profile Permissions
I know another person mentioned the issue of login in can be a pain. Is it possible to create login & security permission QR codes. In other words factor worker Bob has a QR code specific to him, like a badge, that logs him into the Guides and includes his permission levels so he can see the specific guides he needs. Obviously what if worker sally has Bob's QR code but (1) that should be the responsibility of the company to control and (2) a higher level "hololens" login could be used to compare b/w HL2 and the Guides QR. Just a thought. -
Additional 3d Tool Kit Generic Icons
Less is more and the 3D generic Tool kit are quite good but could we get a few more icons specifically - scissors or wire cutter icon, and a hammer icon. I might also request an "allen wrench" since its a common but more specific type of wrench used in industrial applications. We have sub assemblies that arrive boxed from another factor and have plastic or metal boxing straps that have to be cut. Additional some of our guides are for final installation where a thunderstud bolt is actually hammered into the concrete. -
Easier Path & Instructions for getting to the Guides Environment Overview Screen
In the Power Apps admin portal you can actually go to what I am calling the Guides Environment overview screen for a specific Guides environment. It shows active Guides etc in a table like format along with a lot of options to slice & dice your Guides data and info. It is a very useful screen. However, its not documented on how to get there nor is a there a specific "path" shown. Currently the way I found it was looking at the "Details" for my specific Guides Environment. In the Details panel there is an "Environment URL" with a hyperlinked web URL. The URL took me to the overview screen for my Guides environment. This need better documentation and a more specific path/button on the Administrator screen to get you there. -
Visual Card Cue Difference b/w Regular Guide & Layout Guide
Per Andy Klein's discussion of how Layout features maybe be implemented in Guides in the near future, I understand and acknowledge that a layout walk through is really just a Guides just presented slightly different. I would suggest that the "card" used for a "Layout Guide" be visually different from an "instructional guide". Perhaps the easiest to implement would be the ability to toggle the card background color slightly. The reason for this feature is because over time it can help manage the Guides ecosystem: layout users (like facilities engineers) vs instructional guides user (like a factory supervisor) are likely going to be different groups of people. Such a feature helps provide differentiation between the Guides type at a glance. -
Pre-worded Actions Speech Holographic Balloons to Multi-Language
In technical documentation, XML variables are often used to have word or words tied to language translation. Then depending on the language selected the word is switched to the translated version. I am proposing that just like the pre-built Guides tool Icon's, have Guides include an "action word(s)" boxes pre-built that are tied to the Guides locationalization. So perhaps there are 24 action words (or phrases) in individual holographic boxes: Push, Pull, Stop, Start, On, Off etc. But the language variations have already been associated with each word(s). So yes, while my Guide card might still be in English the associated holographic word box would be adjusted to German or French depending on the locality of the Guide or HL2 device. I believe that this both effective long term and as a short term work around for getting some multi-language ability into a Guides. -
Microsoft Built QR Code Generator
There a multiple programs where tying a QR code to access cloud base products would be great. Whether its for security, warm fuzzy's, or better integrate, Microsoft needs to create its own first part QR code generator for Guides and the whole dany D365 ecosystem.
