  • Turnover calculation for ABC classifications

For som Companies that sells items With large variances in price (both sales and cost price) the classifications in Operations (actually from at least AX 2009) can come out verry wrong.

If a Company sells sealings that has a cost price for 0,5 euro and also sells bigger items with cost over 100 Euro, operations will not care that the sealing might be more important and has a larger sale than the more costly item. The costly item will be given higher classification than the seal.

Turnover is the customer demand and should always be important for a Company. It indicates also how important that item is for the market.

Dynamics operations should add a New classification for Turnover.

  • T&A Calculation/approval group password

In AX2012 you could set password for each calculation group and approval group to

separate who had access to different groups. This is gone in D365 i suggest that this password function can be created in D365 as standard.

  • Combine pick from zones in to a main pick rout

For customers with item elevators it would be quite more efficent if it was possible to split pick work for defined zones. Main picking rout will be frozen untill the pick work for the defined zones are done and placed to a staging location. The staging location will then be a part of main picking rout. A good scenario would be a sales order with multiple items where some items is to be picked from a elevator and some from other zones. Work splits out the pick line from the elevator and freezes the rest of work. Elevator picking lines are picked in cluster pick and is placed to staging location, e.g. one location pr. salesorder. When the cluster pick is done and placed on the staging location, main pick is released. The staging location will then be a part of the main picking rout and instead of "picking" every item the picker will scan a licensplate and the location. All items in this location is then picked. This is a efficient way to handle this. It is not possible to set this up as a replenishment from elevator, i have tried without success. I have seen many other systems beeing able to use this logic and pick this way and i would like to see this function in D365FO for WHS
  • Merg pick work for same salesorder

If a salesorder is partially released to warehouse due to one rested item and work is created. Then the rested item is received in the warehouse new pick work can be created. I would want a new feature controlled by parameter on the warehouse that is adding a controll during release to warehouse (Both manuall release to warehouse and automatically release to warehouse). The controll checks existing pick work for same salesorder/shipment. If work for same salesorder/shipment is found and work is not started, then salesorder line is added to same load and workID.
